And while the internet isn’t short on ideas on how you can renovate a brick fireplace, it doesn’t have to be a daunting project! 1. Paint

Painting brick and stone fireplaces is extremely popular right now and it makes sense why. In terms of home renovation, paint is usually the simplest option for many situations. However, there are some steps required to make your painted brick fireplace look amazing and last! We’ll not only help identify the right color for your fireplace, but we also wash the brick and prime it to ensure maximum quality.

2. Whitewash

If you like the natural look of your brick or stone, but want to make it pop a little more, whitewashing is a great option. However, this option takes a bit more skill to pull off than purely painting, because this technique uses watered down paint to make it more translucent and show off the underlying stone or brick. 3. Mantels

Maybe the stone or brick is fine, but your fireplace is still missing something. Mantels are a great way to break up the stone, pattern or paint and offer a lot of creativity and flexibility for your budget. Granite and marble mantels are a beautiful way to have a stand-out piece, but they come with a higher cost. If you already have a stone or brick mantel, you can always consider painting/whitewashing it a separate color to help it stand out. And finally, probably the most popular option right now is implementing a wood mantel. Now this can be done with one large piece of lumber, but that doesn’t always work for your layout and/or budget. Luckily, we are able to build a wood mantel around the existing fireplace to give you the same look. This ensures minimal renovating and can be undone easily for any future design ideas.
